The threat of socialism is very real in the United States in 2019. It’s not a figment of our imaginations – politicians with an increasingly mainstream appeal, including Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Beto O’Rourke, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Ilhan Omar, and Elizabeth Warren, are pushing for the U.S. to becomes a socialist nation.
Young Americans now favor socialism over capitalism. Even 45% of Republican voters support Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s 70% top-tax-rate proposal, while “conservative” Fox News host Tucker Carlson threw in the towel on capitalism. And, if you think this left wing economic movement will stop at mere socialism, think again – Vladimir Lenin said it himself – “the goal of socialism is communism.” According to the Oxford Dictionary, socialism (in Marxist theory) is “a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of Communism.”
Unfortunately, capitalism has gotten a bad rap due to no fault of its own. The reality is that our economic problems (including the high cost of healthcare and education, wealth and income inequality, etc.) are not caused by capitalism, but are actually a byproduct of central banking (ie., the U.S. Federal Reserve), the fact that the U.S. dollar is now a pure fiat or “paper” currency that is constantly being devalued, and market distortions created by government intervention and subsidies. Few people understand these facts, so they blame “capitalism” in a knee-jerk reaction.
I, Jesse Colombo, need your help to wage a cutting-edge information campaign to set the record straight about free market capitalism and why it is the answer to our problems such as wealth and income inequality, soaring healthcare and education costs, and more. My goal is to debunk anti-capitalist propaganda that is becoming so rampant in our society today. My plan is to produce high-quality video presentations, in-depth articles, social media and email campaigns, a book, and more. I have a strong track record of reaching millions of people through alternative media as an activist. Also, I am a millennial myself, which is helpful when trying to reach other millennials.
If this information campaign is successful, we can tip future U.S. elections back in favor of pro-capitalist politicians and against socialist politicians. If we don’t fight back now, we will be living in a socialist country very soon – make no mistake about that.
